Serving Cows, Preserving Our Heritage

Maavadi Charitable Trust protects cows with shelter, food, and medical care, and keeps the practice of Gau Seva alive in Surat.

The Trust

A Surat home for cows, and a place of service

Maavadi Charitable Trust is the public name of Maavadi Gaushala Trust, a non-profit registered in Surat under number E/9964/Surat. The Gaushala stands beside Gabi Hanuman Mandir on Vesu Canal Road.

Its first duty is the cow: protection, a roof, daily fodder, and treatment when an animal is injured or unwell. Around that work, the trust also keeps religious and spiritual life, and supports education, food distribution, and other charitable efforts.

Our Mission

Care for the cow, and care that reaches outward

Protecting Cows

The trust exists to keep the cows in its care safe and dignified, as part of Gujarat’s living heritage.

Food, Shelter & Medical Care

Fodder, clean water, a shaded shelter, and veterinary attention are the ordinary work that makes Gau Seva real.

Compassion and Gau Seva

Service here is quiet and repeated: feeding, cleaning, watching an animal heal, and treating the cow as a charge, not a commodity.

Serving Society Through Charity

Beyond the shed, the trust takes part in religious life, education, food distribution, and other help for the community.

Our Gaushala

Maavadi Gaushala

A gaushala is a shelter kept for cows, not a dairy built for output. At Maavadi Gaushala the animals at the centre of that promise are cows, sheltered for protection and care.

Day to day, the work is feeding, shelter, and care. Animals that need rescue are brought in for rest and treatment. Visitors who wish to offer seva, or simply to understand the place, are welcome to come to the address beside Gabi Hanuman Mandir.
